A word from The Dropout

Good to see you here. I’m The Dropout, and welcome to my blog. I have a library full of leather-bound books sitting on pressed-wood shelves, and I’d like to share my love for literature and finely-crafted cocktails with you.

Full disclosure – I didn’t attend bartending school, but I’ve learned a lot from crafting my own drinks and from working in various bars and restaurants when I was younger.

My techniques are self-taught. I craft cocktails to my taste. Hence the name, Bar School Dropouts. Just a mix of common knowledge and experimental techniques. I’ll make mistakes, so you won’t have to.

So welcome. Of course, a good cocktail always pairs well with a good story. And here at Bar School Dropouts, you’ll have the opportunity to hear some fascinating stories. From classic authors to contemporary greats, you’ll get to learn about their favorite drinks and maybe even discover some new authors along the way.
